Happy 2010 from Sanibel Island!

2010 Happy New Year - SanCap One Source Realty

I can’t believe it either!

This year has simply flown by and took Rob and I (and SanCap One Source Realty) on a ride that seems to have only just begun…

Our business has grown and continues to grow beyond our wildest dreams and we want to offer our heartfelt thanks to you as this amazing year comes to an end!

We couldn’t have done it alone and we know that!

Business these days is about people (well, duh Sandy, it’s always been about people!), but it’s not just about any people, it’s about finding the right people that you connect with on a personal level and trust on an unspoken level…

I have found many of these types of people along my personal trail, and Rob and I strive every day to show you that we are the right people for you and your home.

Health and Happiness to you and yours as we toast to 2010!

Happy New Year from your neighbors at SanCap One Source Realty,

Sandy Ramseth & Rob Coscia - SanCap One Source Realty - Sanibel Island

The Christmas Carolers Have Left the Building!

Happy Holidays - SanCap One Source Realty

Yes, Santa has returned to the North Pole and I am still digesting all the food I ate.

Yet another Christmas has come and gone and it was a beautiful, beautiful thing!

Sometimes I think we all take for granted the wonderful friends and family in our lives and just how important they are in shaping our days and, in turn, our lives.

Without getting too mushy, dear reader, Rob and I want to wish you and your family a very happy holiday season and hope that you take the time to reflect upon all of these wonderful people in your lives as well!

Whether we know you personally (yet), or not, doesn’t matter… but, we hope to one day soon!

SanCap One Source Realty is always here for you and your real estate needs on Sanibel Island… well actually, we go well beyond real estate!

All the best… Ho Ho Ho!

Sandy and Rob

Reflections of 2008 on Sanibel Island

Toasting in the New Year on Sanibel IslandWell, I can’t believe it, but yet another year has come and gone!

A toast to you and to 2008!

And as we wrapped up the Christmas activities yesterday, something that commonly happens to me towards the end of every year, well… happened.  I had a moment to sit down alone and reflect on some of the events that have transpired in my life over the past 12 months.

I came across this article a few weeks ago and wanted to save it for this end-of-the-year post to help not only myself, but hopefully you as well.

It was a single webpage with an article written by a gentlemen named Michael Angier.  It was short and to the point and asked 10 simple questions that one can answer in wrapping up one year and moving forward into the next.

I really liked the article and you can read it in its entirety right here, however, I will save you the suspense and post the 10 questions for reflection below:

During this past year…

  1. What did I learn? (skills, knowledge, awareness, etc.)
  2. What did I accomplish? A list of my wins and achievements.
  3. What would I have done differently? Why?
  4. What did I complete or release? What still feels incomplete to me?
  5. What were the most significant events of the year past? List the top three.
  6. What did I do right? What do I feel especially good about? What was my greatest contribution?
  7. What were the fun things I did? What were the not-so-fun?
  8. What were my biggest challenges/roadblocks/difficulties?
  9. How am I different this year than last?
  10. For what am I particularly grateful?

Now that’s a powerful list, wouldn’t you say?  So, I sat down and took the time to fill out each question and I hope that you will too.  It may feel like an exercise in futility, but I believe (and there are many studies out there showing it as well) that when you take the time to actually write something down, it somehow gets “seeded” in your brain and has a much higher chance of happening…  So, don’t forget to include the positive changes that you will make to the items on your list that needed improving… Every little bit helps!

Another toast to you for finishing 2008 on top and we are looking forward to meeting you in 2009!

See you next year (week),

Rob and Sandy

Let the Games Begin… Our First Blog!

Your Real Team for Sanibel and Captiva Island Real Estate

Well, we did it!

Robert and I finally got our butts in gear and got this blog off the ground and we are SO excited to post every week and tell you everything that we can think of to help you get to know this entire area and exactly what it’s like to live here on these beautiful islands.

Our goal with this blog is to cover a lot of different topics to help paint the picture of what Sanibel and Captiva Island are all about. We will address things like our beaches, our fantastic shelling, our local businesses, island “culture”, some of the different housing types and neighborhoods, great family activities, local real estate investing conditions and much more.

We look forward to all of your comments, especially if any locals are reading and can add to our posts with their own thoughts and experiences, that would be great!

For now, we’ll leave it at that and look forward to next week with some great new info for you!

Have a great week and welcome to our new communication outlet… 🙂

Robert and Sandy
